Kalgoorlie Girls Academy aims at improving the life skills and self esteem of both Indigenous and non Indigenous girls who are selected for the program.
KGA achieves this through the medium of its basketball program although the playing of basketball is not essential to being in the program. A number of girls are in the program to be mentored rather than play sport.
KGA support staff are shared between Eastern Goldfields College and Kalgoorlie-Boulder Community High School and the program is over seen by Role Models WA.
