Welcome to Eastern Goldfields College – a Western Australian senior college located in the capital of the Goldfields. We encourage our students to achieve to their potential following their chosen pathways for either post school education or employment.

The Eastern Goldfields name has long been associated with secondary education in Kalgoorlie-Boulder and surrounds and brings with it a great deal of tradition. In 2014 we celebrated the centenary of Eastern Goldfields. While we draw on the lessons of the past, we look forward to future challenges and achievements.

Yesterday EGC had the pleasure of hosting Minister Sabine Winton MLA and Ali Kent MLA - Member for Kalgoorlie as they announced their Country Week Election Commitment to ease the cost burden for students travelling to Perth to compete in Country Week. The $500 per student contribution means our EGC Country Week athletes will be able to participate for significantly less. It was fantastic to see Minister Winton and Ali engage with our students about their education experiences in the Goldfields, the challenges they feel they face living regionally and what they value most about attending EGC. Exciting News for Country Week!Stay tuned for more updates - and get ready for an unforgettable week.For many students in regional WA, Country Week is the highlight of the school year.It's where thousands of regional students travel to Perth to compete against each other in a whole heap of different sports - and we want to make sure more kids can experience it.With our Country Week Assistance Payment, students who live less than 300km from Perth will receive $250, and students who live more than 300km away will receive $500.It's another way we're backing hard-working families in regional WA. ...
