Wellbeing

Eastern Goldfields College is committed to supporting the wellbeing of our staff, students and our wider college community.  We have enlisted the support of Kaya Consulting to support in the development of a Wellbeing Strategic Plan.  This is currently in progress and will inform the future directions of the College.  A number of initiatives have already been implemented and we look forward to continuing this journey through 2017 and beyond.

Sincere thanks must go to AngloGold Ashanti for their generous support of this project and their ongoing commitment to supporting the health and wellbeing of the staff and students at Eastern Goldfields College.

Our College has a team of dedicated specialist staff who support students with their academic, social and emotional wellbeing issues.  Students are encouraged and supported to develop positive attitudes towards themselves and others through a range of activities and programs.  Mentor groups are used as the main vehicle for monitoring and supporting student wellbeing. The Mentor teacher sees their students three times each week, following their attendance and academic progress.  All students are encouraged to reach their full potential at our College.
